We offer low-cost spay and neuter services at the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center in Riverside, CA.  Appointments are necessary and can only be made online. We do not scehdule appointments over the phone.

Spay/Neuter Pricing*

(Includes a 24-hour pain injection.  Additional pain medication can be purchased for an additional charge: pricing is subject to change without notice)

Felines:

  • Cat/Kitten $60
  • Community Cat $45  MUST be in a humane trap that is covered and labeled with cat name/trapper name to receive surgery - no carriers, boxes or crates will be accepted

We will not be performing community cat surgers on Friday December 1st and Monday, December 4th, 2023

    • All community cats will  be ear-tipped. 
    • Surgeries are limited to two community cats per person. 
    • We will only accept 10 community cats per day - appointments open at 8am the prior day. 
    • All friendly cats will be charged $60 alter fee. 
    • Traps are available for rental for $5/per day or $20/per week with a $75 deposit refunded when the trap is retuned. 

How to make an appointment for a community cat:

  1. Please choose "LION" as species our system does not have a community cat option.
  2. Please choose a name for the cat you are bringing in. It should not be one you have used in the past. Do not use "Feral" "Kitty", "Stray" "Mama", "Cat" or "Community" for the name.  
  3. For breed select N/A
  4. When selecting services please add "Ear-Tip". 
  5. Enter remaining information. 
  6. In an effort to reduce the nubmer of "no shows" a $20 deposit will be required to schedule an appointment
  7. A confirmation will be emailed to you once your appointment is approved.

Pets not undergoing surgery can receive vaccines, and other services Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm ($5 office visit fee, per animal applies)  You may walk in or schedule an appointment. 

Walk-ins will incur a $10 per animal walk-in fee and will be seen after our appointment based clients.

Do I need to make an appointment to have my pet spayed or neutered?

Yes! Surgery is performed Tuesday – Thursday

MAKE YOUR SPAY/NEUTER APPOINTMENT ON-LINE

California state law requires current rabies vaccination for your dog.  Please bring proof in the form of a rabies certificate.  We are otherwise required to give your dog a rabies vaccination at the time of surgery for a charge of $10.  

Surgical admission for ferals begins at 6:30am, dogs 6:45am and cats 7:15am.

Surgical rechecks:  Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (except for major holidays)


Is the Spay/Neuter Clinic a full-service veterinary hospital?

No.  For complete care of your pet, please visit your local veterinarian.
